St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School has a strong and supportive Parents and Friends Committee. Over recent years the committee has worked to provide a prayer and reflection garden, a vegetable garden, iPads and iPods for the students, sports equipment, books, and much more!
The Parents & Friends Association fosters community interest in education and promotes closed liaison between school and community and assists with school amenities through fundraising. Meetings are held regularly and announced in the school newsletter. New families are always made welcome and parents are encouraged to form friendships and share the workload.
The purpose of The Parents and Friends Association is Fund-Raising and Friend-Raising. This year the P&F organised a very successful Sunday Mass followed by a Family Day with a BBQ at Big Brook.
The P&F Annual General Meeting is held on the same evening in November as the School Board Annual General Meeting and is also the forum for nominations to P & F committees. It ensures a smooth start to the year. Sub-committees are formed with a P&F Executive Committee member sitting on each committee.
